About Me

I’ve owned businesses since 2011 and I’m the former owner of HypeForType, one of Europe’s largest online font marketplaces, which I ran from 2011 to 2023. In my career, I’ve represented over 350 designers across 58 countries, negotiated six‑figure licence agreements, and enforced seven figure infringement cases. I was mentored for 15 years by a leading New York copyright attorney, came close to securing a Series A investment for a tech company, and I’m recognised as Corporate LiveWire’s 2025 Gold Winner for Innovation in Media & Publishing. I’m your go to person for licensing strategy, both defensive and offensive, and I cover everything from copyright infringement to maximising your leverage and the value of your digital assets.

Along the way I’ve also had 11 failed startups, and in January 2023 I ran myself into the ground so badly, after failing to secure a mid seven figure investment for my tech company Typerium, that I ended up in hospital. That experience forced me to reset, taught me hard lessons about people, boundaries, and resilience, and gave me a much deeper understanding of what creators and founders go through when everything is on the line.

Outside of work, I live a pretty human life. I have three cats, including a Ragdoll called Milo who genuinely thinks he’s Ragg Pitt on vacation with an unpaid butler. I’m obsessed with shoe design especially Air Max 1s and I eat way too many sweets and biscuits, with Aldi’s liquorice allsorts absolutely destroying the originals. I take people at face value and couldn’t care less whether you’re sleeping in a fishmonger’s or having caviar served to you by eleven women on a yacht. I’m slightly neurodivergent, which means I can sometimes come across as a bit too direct, but that’s just how my brain is wired. And for the record, my hair and I fought a ten year battle… and I won in the end so if I ever sound too blunt, just remember: I already used up all my diplomacy negotiating with my hair, don't make my shave yours off too...
